Tyler Pisani (Ty Lee)
For more than two decades Tyler Pisani has lived life behind the microphone. He progressed from podcast host to radio DJ and eventually to stand-up comedian and play-by-play voice of the Eastern Washington University Eagles Hockey Club. Coming of age during the greatest technological revolution this world has ever known, Tyler has learned to adapt and grown when faced with new challenges and to never accept “no” as an absolute.
Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz put it best when saying “Always bet on yourself, no matter what the odds are. It means more to be in the race than watching the victory laps from the stands.” This is how Tyler has lived his professional life, betting the farm on himself more than once. First, leaving a full time sales position to begin his foray into the world of traditional media. With no formal training he took two part time jobs, one in radio and one in local television. This move allowed him to make many professional connections in local DMA that would result in a safe landing when he had to take a second leap three years later. The second bet paid off even bigger than the first, with Tyler obtaining a position in marketing with a newspaper and digital marketing agency, while also leveraging the connections he made while working in sports radio to obtain the title of Director of Communications for the EWU Hockey club.
Tyler’s desire to never become complacent has lead to many opportunities that some won’t see in their entire life, and he is still only 28. His career has enabled him to learn and grow during lengthy stints in local TV news, radio, newspaper and digital marketing. His unique prospective has been honed through years of dedicated work alongside large and successful sports properties. His experience includes working with the Seattle Sounders (MLS), Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA), Gonzaga Bulldogs (NCAABB), Spokane Chiefs (WHL), Spokane Indians (Milb), Eastern Washington University Eagles (ACHA) and more!
